Training Resources - Training Materials Process Development Kits Process development kits are the best way to determine if the process is robust enough for production operations. Production materials can be very expensive due to the operational components that will be sacrificed while tweaking process variables. Process development kits are a very good way for customers to determine if a machine is working correctly or for vendors to demonstrate the capability of their machines with mature and consistent profiles. Additionally kits can be used for evaluation of production materials before they are incorporated in production. Testing is often necessary to evaluate process and impact for reliability or other purposes and these are also best left consistent process development kits. The fine pitch kit contains a large quantity of current SMT components that have proven very useful in determining limitations of current production operations. It provides an excellent resource to judge the capability of various vendors and machines before they are finalized.
