Dan Foster, Director of Training Services
Dan Foster joined the STI Electronics, Inc. Team in April 2001. Dan previously worked as a VP of Training for Electronics Training Advantage and for PACE, Inc. as a Government/Education Programs Representative. He has over 21 years experience in rework, repair and electronics training. Dan has been involved in the development of rework, repair and production techniques and education of customers and industry representatives on how to utilize these techniques.

Dan was a Category A Instructor for the 2M Repair Course at the Advanced Electronics School in San Diego.

Dan is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-7711/7721 and conducts IPC Certification Training Courses.

Dan serves as Chair of the IPC-7711 Rework of Electronics Assembly Committee, Vice Chair of the IPC J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies and as Vice Chair of the IPC-7070 Component Mounting Guidelines Committee.

Dean Goglin, Certified IPC Trainer (CIT)
Dean conducts training for STI Electronics, Inc. He comes from Boeing, where he served both as a Quality Engineer and the Certification Training Focal, providing training to employees in all required skills for USAF, US Army, and NASA contracts.

Dean served as a maintenance technician/superintendent in the USAF, where his duties included maintaining all Cryptographic and Digital Subscriber Terminal Equipment. He had additional experience in the automotive electronics industry, with the Chrysler Electronics Division.

Dean is accredited by the IPC as a Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) for both IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. He conducts training at the STI training site located in Madison, Alabama. He also conducts on-site training classes for our customers and assists with the shipping of training materials and equipment required by the customer.

Frank Honyotski, Master Instructor
Frank Honyotski joined the STI Electronics, Inc. Training Team in May 2000 coming from Pace Inc. as a Training Manager where he was involved in the development and teaching of rework, repair and production techniques and education of customers and industry representatives on how to utilize these techniques.

Frank served as an Instructor and as a Senior Electronics Technician for the Navy’s Miniature/Microminiature Repair (2M) Program from 1993 until 1997.

Frank is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/21 and J-STD-001. He conducts IPC Certification Training at the STI training site located in Madison, Alabama. He is also responsible for conducting on-site training classes for our customers and coordinating the materials and equipment needs and shipment of equipment when required by the customer.

Ann Duncan, Training Coordinator
Ann Duncan joined the STI Electronics, Inc. Training Team in August 1997 and is responsible for the coordinating of materials, supplies, equipment, and shipping requirements for the STI Training Department. Ann also maintains required training records, course enrollments, confirmations, and assists students with information necessary for class attendance.

Ann is an IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) and J-STD-001 CIT. She also conducts company specific training at STI’s training site located in Madison, Alabama.

Pat Scott, Master Instructor/Instructional Designer
Pat Scott joined the STI Electronics, Inc. Training Team in January 2001 coming from Electronics Training Advantage (ETA) as Director of Training. Pat has twenty years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing, Technical Instruction, and Instructional Systems Development.

Pat gained her experience at Hughes Aircraft Co., Soldering Technology Training Facility (China Lake), and the Electronics Manufacturing Productivity Facility (EMPF).

Pat is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor for IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC 7711/21. She conducts IPC Certification Training at the STI training site located in Madison, Alabama. She is also responsible for conducting NASA/MSFC certification courses such as Soldering, Cable/Harness, and Conformal Coating. Pat’s responsibilities also include curriculum development.

Tom Borman, Master Instructor (MIT)
Tom Borman is a Retired Navy Veteran with over 20 years experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and providing advanced technical training on sophisticated electronic equipment of both, the United States Navy, and the Industrial environment. He also has 6 years in the instructional arena of soldering for the Navy’s Micro-Miniature program using MIL-STD-2000 with emphasis on IPC-A-610.


Tom is accredited by the IPC as a Master Instructor (MIT) for IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and IPC-7711/7721. He conducts IPC Certification Training at the STI training site located in Madison, Alabama. He is also responsible for conducting on-site training classes for our customers.

Michelle Morring, Certified IPC Trainer
Michelle Morring came to STI in May of 2007. She has over 15 years experience in manufacturing. Michelle previously worked at Adtran as an SMT, Wave and Automatic Insertion Trainer. She was responsible for training operators of all shifts on the equipment and software they used. In addition she would train new employees on the Right to Know and MSDS.





Michelle also worked for AVEX Electronics as an SMT and Rework Repair operator. Michelle is accredited by IPC as a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) for both IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. Michelle is also a CIT for IPC/WHMA-A-620.
